Member Spotlight – Emeka Gbandi

Our member spotlight this week features Mr. Emeka Gbandi. Emeka is a Metering Engineer with Oliserv and handful of other things. He describes his experience with aha! Trybe as priceless and mostly enjoys the interactions and health tips shared on the trybe. Emeka takes investment seriously and surely did the right thing by joining the aha trybe and investing in his health. Enjoy this conversation we had with him. 😉

aha! Trybe: How long have you been a member of aha! Trybe?

Emeka: A little over 3 months.

aha! Trybe: Why did you join the Trybe?

Emeka: It’s always nice to invest, why not in your health as I think it should be the basics of investment, so that’s why; and also to be a part of this wonderful community. Priceless!

aha! Trybe: How would you describe your experience with us so far?

Emeka: It’s really been fun,fascinating, and fantastic. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

aha! Trybe: What do you like most about the trybe?

Emeka: The interactions, the daily health tips, the Q & A, … really top-notch.

aha! Trybe: Tell us a nickname you presently have or have had in the past and how it came about.

Emeka: So I have always looked like a Yoruba boy, so it’s surprising when I tell people I’m Delta Ibo and Emeka by name.
So when most people get to know about my surname, they stick to it.
Gbandi so these days I tell people my name is Emekagbandi. Goes together like that. 😃😃

aha! Trybe: What did you want to become when you were a child?

Emeka: A Marine Engineer, until I almost drowned in a pool, Baba quickly changed to Computer Scientist.🤣🤣

aha! Trybe: What is your current occupation?

Emeka: I’m a Metering Engineer with Oilserv. I work as an ICT instructor, database admistrator, and as social media handler in a private school Charryville Academy. I’m also an editor @African Heritage Magazine (side hustle sha), Dance instructor (side hustle), I sell accessories (side hustle).

aha! Trybe: What do you love most about your job?

Emeka: Free time, and I’m not caged. If not, as a Sanguine, I will just go crazy!😂

aha! Trybe: Can you tell us 3 most important rules you live by?

Emeka: 1. Love Unconditionally (God and Man)

  1. Don’t overthink. Just do it.
  2. Invest for rainy days.

aha! Trybe: Does success, for you, depend on having a university degree?

Emeka: Not at all, success for me is finding peace, being comfortable, and ultimately being successful at any handwork or anything you do.

aha! Trybe: What is your idea of good music?

Emeka: Nigerian Music. Good rhymes, passes a message and danceable (Deaconess Gbandi will dent my skull sha, so let me add gospel music also😁😁).

aha! Trybe: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done?

Emeka: I’m an adventurous guy, so if I’m to pick one it would be dancing every Saturday evening in front of the girls hostels in Uniben Hall 2 with my group (fellowship dance group then).

aha! Trybe: Do you feel like there are double standards when it comes to rules for men and women?

Emeka: Yes, I do.
And it’s to the advantage and disadvantage of both genders.

aha! Trybe: What advice would you like to share with members of the community?

Emeka: Omo! Life is short ooo have fun while looking for ends meet, love God also.

aha! Trybe: Do you have a business you would like us to patronise?

Emeka: I sell accessories but it’s in small quantity. I only sell in Benin. So, not really for now.

aha! Trybe: Anything else you would like to share with us?

Emeka: Fav quote from Hafiz: “The sun never says to the earth ‘you owe me’, that kind of Love lights the whole sky”.
