Member Spotlight – Ejiro Nwaulo

Our member spotlight this week features Ms. Ejiro Nwaulo. Ejiro is currently a Reconciliation Manager with a background in Human Resources Management. Enjoy this conversation we had with her.

aha! Trybe: How long have you been a member of aha! Trybe?

Ejiro: I’m one of the founding members. 😁 I joined the aha trybe 10 months ago.

aha! Trybe: Why did you join the Trybe?

Ejiro: I joined because of the unique benefits and 3 in 1 package; Health, Wealth and just being part of a Community. I doubt one can see this elsewhere.

aha! Trybe: How would you describe your experience with us so far?

Ejiro: It’s been great! The daily health tips, motivational messages, different views on real life cases… The reception here is warm.

aha! Trybe: What do you like most about the trybe?

Ejiro: Same as above o, and the fact that there is room to promote one’s business.

aha! Trybe: What did you want to become when you were a child?

Ejiro: I wanted to own a business and an NGO. As I grew older, actually at the University level, I developed a passion for human resources management. That was my favorite course. 😁😁

aha! Trybe: What is your current occupation?

Ejiro: I’m currently the reconciliation manager at my company. I manage claims, payments and accounts of some of my company’s partners.

aha! Trybe: What do you love most about your job?

Ejiro: Ah! Fulfilling promises to our partners! This is actually critical for the role I occupy. Also, solving problems – knowing that my clients are satisfied when a problem is solved.

aha! Trybe: Can you tell us 3 most important rules you live by?

Ejiro: 1. Acknowledge God always and make Him priority. 2. Don’t judge anyone, especially when you don’t know the back story. 3. Don’t compare yourself with anyone, rather strive to be the better version of you.

aha! Trybe: Does success, for you, depend on having a university degree?

Ejiro: Nope! Success to me is making meaningful impact on people, having a peaceful life, and seeing good results to my efforts.

aha! Trybe: What is your idea of a good music?

Ejiro: For me, good music is one that reassures me of God’s love, and speaks peace to my soul. Whether loud, soft or fast.

aha! Trybe: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done?

Ejiro: I can’t think of any but if this would pass as one, relocating out of Lagos.

aha! Trybe: Do you feel like there are double standards when it comes to rules for men and women?

Ejiro: Of course! For example, our culture subtly permits men to cheat and its okay. You can cheat on your wife and everybody will ask her to forgive. But when it’s the other way around, the whole world will hear about it and 70% of the time, that will be the end of the marriage. Also when husband and wife are both working 9 to 5 and they come back home tired, why is it the woman that is expected to enter the kitchen and do the cooking? Why not the husband? They are both human beings, they both went to work and they are both tired. Why must the woman alone do the cooking?
Lastly, women are hardly allowed to stay away from home for long, even if they have congent reasons like work; but men can travel away from home for weeks and no one sees an issue with that.
There are many more cases but these easily come to mind when I think of double standards.

aha! Trybe: What advice would you like to share with members of the community?

Ejiro: Please go get your PVC and plan to vote o! Aside that, so much is going on in the country right now: inflation, insecurity etc. Be safe, do your part and trust God to do His.

aha! Trybe: Do you have a business you would like us to patronize?

Ejiro: I don’t have one now, but I’ll like you all to patronize my sister’s business, Helen Lush. She offers high-quality accessories specially developed to meet today’s woman’s most essential beauty and personal care needs.

You can check out her Instagram page https://instagram.com/helenlush1

aha! Trybe: Anything else you would like to share with us?

Ejiro: Again, got get your PVC and vote wisely come 2023.
